I have to tell you (you probably already know) that when I had my surgery (mid September 2011) I fell off the eating bandwagon big-time. I was miserable and couldn’t work out so I ate whatever I wanted. Then you know how hard getting my strength and endurance and head back in the game has been for me. So when we started this challenge I felt like crap because I had been eating like crap for months. My jeans were all TIGHT, like painful to wear tight.
Now those same jeans are now super comfy and well on their way to being too big. My goal is to need new jeans by the end of the month.
Once again I have to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Going without CrossFit for six weeks, and then feeling like I was basically starting over again has just cemented in my heart and brain how important this all is in my life.
When I CrossFit, I am in better control of my life. And now I am learning that when I eat clean, I have even more control over my life plus I feel great! I have felt better in the last four weeks than I have in a really long time, probably years. Thanks again for all you do for all of us. – Mindy Anderson (Feb 2012)
“Very excited that my hard work is FINALLY paying off…I started CrossFit 13 months ago and have definitely toned up more and lost some inches, but I just wasn’t seeing the results that I wanted to and my personal trainer kept saying, you have to change the diet. I didn’t feel like I ate that bad, but a month ago, I started the Zone Diet in conjunction with doing CrossFit and WOW…I really didn’t believe just changing that would work! BUT, I was WAY wrong!! In ONE month and never being hungry and continuing to work out…I have lost almost 11 pounds, lost even a couple more inches and have gone down a size in my jeans!!! I am LOVING this and it was such an easy change…Thanks CrossFit Iota…” – Lisa Perkins (Feb 2012)

Hey, I keep forgetting to tell U this, Hunter played his 1st Football game on Saturday. He played both ways and his coach said he is best hitter and always does what he asks. They won the first game 42-0. Both Pat and I said “Thankyou CrossFit!” We both feel you helped him. Next stop the NFL, ok maybe we just need to get through pee-wee league first.

CrossFit WORKS! My cholesterol level is down 45 points after just 7 months of working out. I am STOKED! Thanks!! – Curtis Roberts (received via text Aug. 2011)
“CrossFit has helped me feel more confidant in what I can do while I try to improve on my movements and times, I always look forward to seeing everyone at CrossFit it is a supportive and fun environment , the only downside is my clothes from last year are too big I have to get some new clothes…so sad!” – Miriam Rich (July 2011)
I am really excited, did my Time Trial run this morning… nailed it!!! Two and half min under where I needed to be!!! Super stoked. Happiness is reaching goals!!
Have a rad day! – Kolett Lewis (April 24, 2011 via txt – Kolett has been training for a Half Marathon using CrossFit and CrossFit Endurance to prepare for her race.)
Just thought I’d say thanks for kicking my butt today and thanks for making me feel welcome in an environment that I am normally not comfortable in. I may be out of the norm at CrossFit but if I can survive a WOD with a gimp foot and carrying a bunch of extra weight, then I can survive anything. I appreciate your willingness to work with me. I look forward to changing my life on the floors of CrossFit. ;o) Thanks again.. See you in the morning! -Jamie Andersen (April 11, 1011 via txt)

I went to the “gym” yesterday. Tiff works in the day care one day a week, so it gets us a free membership… anyway, I hate the gym. You feel bad for the people that workout there. No one talks to anyone, there is zero energy… It was very depressing and I lasted about 10 minutes. Unreal how much better CrossFit and what we have at your box is… Love it dude, thanks! Casey Everston (Feb 2011)
A year ago I competed in an indoor winter track meet and ran a 1:08, 400m. This past weekend I attended the same meet and competed in the mile and set a new PR of 5:08. After that I ran a 400m in 57 sec. I think Crossfit really helped. -Matt Carey (Jan 2011) Matt is one of the many Sky View Cross Country / Track and Field athletes that has been training with us over the 2010-11 off-season.
I’ve got to tell you man, I am so incredibly glad Tiff and I found your box. The atmosphere has got me excited about CrossFit again. Everyone is so inviting, interested in each other and motivating. Thanks for running a great gym! – Casey Everston (Jan 2011)
Thanks Paul for all you do. And making me Love to workout once again! – Daeci Burr (Jan 2011)
Michelle Weeks was kind enough to share her CrossFit journey thus far, after six month of being a member here. Be sure to also check out her original athlete profile that we did back in the summer of 2010 here so you can see her amazing transformation.
The comments you said really mean a lot to me. You are so encouraging. I really appreciate the atmosphere you have created at the box. I really love sharing the news of cross fit with others and express to them the love and passion you have for it and the people you train. Thanks for the great experience. - Nancy Coburn (Nov 2010)
Crossfit is really working out for me. It takes the whole stress of exercising and figuring out what to do and getting motivated to do it….all that has gone away for me. – Allyson Hyldahl Tarr (Nov 2010)
Joining CrossFit IoTA has helped me to make some amazing changes in my life. The first time I was introduced to CrossFit, I literally thought, “There is no way I can do this.” I am 52 years old, have muscle degeneration in my legs, and have Crohnes. Thanks to Paul, who has modified my workouts and been so patient with helping me, I have been able to do things that I thought were impossible. Every day is hard but I have learned I can do hard things. I think that it is the consistency of going every day and giving it my best. The amazing thing is it has spilled into all areas of my life. My balance is better and I walk with more strength and confidence. – Trenna Ellison (Oct 2010)
Braden’s playing some of the best soccer I’ve ever seen him play. So much fun to watch. Guess that’s what a little CrossFit will get ya…ok a lot of CrossFit! Nice job Braden! – Tammy Call (October 2010) Tammy posted this on Facebook after Braden played in the Soccer State Cup
I LOVE Crossfit!!! It has help me so much to be a better athlete and a more fit person. As most of you know I run Cross Country and did Crossfit to help me get in better shape for the season, and boy has it help. I have notice that I have a longer endurance and I feel a lot stronger. The coaches have been great at creating workouts for everyone, and pushing everyone through. I am yet to find a trainer that can do that. I would like to thank Paul, Brett, Tami, and all you other crossfitters for all the support you give. I cannot wait to see more results in the future. – Tyler Roberts (October 2010)
Thanks for all the time you and the other coaches give. You have no idea how much you and the crossfit program have impacted my life and the life of the others at Crossfit Iota. When you make us feel strong…when you encourage us to work hard…when you praise our accomplishments…when you miss when we are gone…”WE” gain a desire to be the best we can be, and for the I thank you. – Stacey Baker Oct. 2010
I LOVE this place and can’t say enough great things about Crossift in general – and Crossfit IoTA is the best gym I’ve ever gone to. You get a personal trainer, an instant support group, and you see real results in just a few weeks. I went from barley being able to do a single real push-up, to doing 5 pull-ups in a row – in just 4 months. It’s intense, fun, and can really be tailored to anyone’s fitness level. – Lisa Llewellyn Oct 2010
“Earnest perseverance facilitates compliance, which begins to come naturally. You see and feel the benefits. Going backward seems unrewarding.” Even in my frustrations (mentally), It seems more destructive to go back to my old ways of life. I really love the strength that CrossFit Iota has given me. Not only is my body stronger, but my strength within myself is stronger…. I know I can do it, and I have the confidence that I will do it. – Nancy Coburn Sept 2010
Paul, Thanks for creating a great atmosphere for becoming stronger and achieving goals. I can honestly say that I have loved Crossfit so far! Of course, that’s easier to say after I’m done with the WOD!
Everyone is positive, encouraging, and competitive in a good way. That’s not something you can say for most gyms. I’m glad Tami finally talked me into giving it a try. I also just wanted to say thanks for your interest in my personal goals. It has made a very daunting goal seem a little more achievable. – Brandi Bastain (Aug 2010)
Crossfit has been fun. I’ve never felt comfortable in a gym-type setting before so it’s been great to feel part of something! - Jennifer Pitcher (July 2010)
Paul, thanks to you guys for all your support & help. I have really enjoyed my experience with CrossFit. You are all so accommodating & helpful. You really do a great job with everything. I’m really embarrassed & don’t feel like much of an athlete but thanks for your encouragement & support. – Michelle Weeks (July 2010 – After being asked to be the first athlete we profiled.)
Wow! I love CrossFit IoTA! I’ve only been doing it for 5 days and I’m totally addicted.
The trainers are fantastic. This is definitely a workout you wouldn’t make it through by yourself. I love how everybody motivates one another but also a bit competitive so I can step it up and do my best. I love it and can’t wait to see the results I’ll get in a few months. – Allison Fullmer (June 2010)
“Wahooo I love Crossfit! It’s a way good workout every day i go!” -Jenessa B. (June 2010)
“I’m glad to be a part of CrossFit IoTA. I appreciated your comments on Memorial Day today it kept me going through the WOD.” – Brett Brunson (May 31, 2010)
