Athlete Profile – Habb Wells

Habb deadlifting 165#'s durring a wod....that 120% of his body weight!

 

I’m Hab Wells and I’m 21. I grew up in Kidane Mihret an orphanage in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I was adopted by Jon and Merrilee Wells 6 years ago. 

What is your day job? I work at Evolution Design doing granite fabrication. 

How were you introduced to CrossFit? By a friend Brock Reese. 

What is your favorite WOD or Lift? My favorite WOD is CINDY, and lift is dead lift. 

What is your favorite skill/movement that you have learned at CrossFit IoTA? Pull ups. 

One word to describe me would be… Hyper 

I have always wanted… To meet Mandela. 

Outside of the gym, I like to… Watching movies, soccer, basketball, and snowboarding. 

Three things you would always find in my fridge… Water, yogurt, rice. 

Something nobody knows about me or would be surprised to know about me… I’m a big movie fanatic. 

Favorite physical activity outside of CFI… Soccer 

Favorite place to eat in Cache Valley… Cafe Rio 

Song(s) that gets me pumped up for a workout… “Welcome to Jam Rock” by Damian Marley, “Stronger” by Kanye West, all Maxi Priest, The Game, Pit Bull, Lil- John songs. Or any music that has a good beat. 

The last thing I ate was… Tuna fish and hard-boiled eggs. 

My proudest accomplishment is… Being part of a family. 

My six month goal is… To be able to do an over head squat. 

If I could have ANYBODY (living or dead) over for dinner, it would be…My lovely momma. 

My favorite workout attire is… Shorts and shirt. 

My favorite workout partner(s)… Whoever pushes me the hardest and never quits. 

If you created a WOD and named it after yourself what would the workout be? 800 meter run, 40 pull ups, 20 thrusters, 400 meter run, 40 pushups, 20 knee to elbow, 200 meter run, 20 box jumps, 50 double unders.

Hab is THE energizer bunny. Awesome attitude and energy. We all know hab can run but this guy is making huge improvements in strength as well. Nice work hab!
